Service to the Community

S.M.A.R.T. Dogs volunteer teams have brought happiness to thousands of people at schools, fairs, parades, seminars, and numerous youth activities.  Events have included:

Mentor Programs

 Junior memberships to S.M.A.R.T. Dogs are available, as are junior trainer opportunities,

Our educational outreach efforts include special school presentations incorporating dog safety information, the American Kennel Club's Best Friends Program, and taking care of Cory video.

The generosity of our canine foster families and adoption counselors allows us to rehome unwanted dogs and educate prospective owners.

Our speaker's bureau and our canine behavioral consultation service provides knowledgeable members who work to educate and inform groups and individuals.

Our trainers provide obedience training through regularly scheduled classes and have conducted Canine Good Citizen Classes and testing, which promote responsible dog ownership.
